Our dad was a great guy and a remarkable man. He taught us a "can do" attutude, always keep your word, how to laugh and not to take yourself too seriously. Most of all I will remember Dad's fantastic ability to turn a phrase. The man could tell a story!
Our dad loved his famly, friends, traveling, playing cards and flying. He loved a good bowl of minestrone, a juicy steak, a nice green salad. He honored our mother and step-mother, he had a good, full life, and he died peacefully in his sleep. I am grateful for this. I think of him now where he can soar the skies at will!

Wow what a man! I was fortunate enough to meet Walt when I began dating his grandson, Jeremy. Walt always had such a warm way about him; it made you want to plop down next to him and soak up every word. I remember how he enjoyed watching the Bucks on TV. There is one time in particular when I recall him watching a game. We were serving cake and I could see he was watching everyone else eat but did not want to miss a moment. I sat down next to Walt and asked him if I could get him some cake. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree as he said, "Yes, thank you" and gave me a wink. As I walked over and got him a very large piece of cake, I thought to myself how wonderful it was that he showed such excitement and appreciation for the simplest of life's pleasures. Family, friends, the Buckeyes on TV and a big fat piece of cake...we should all be so lucky! I am so thankful that my son was able to meet his great grandfather this spring. I am confident that Walt's zest for life will live on through his amazing family and friends. Take Care of each other!
Lots of Love,
Nicki and Sam Bolton

To Billie, Martha, Mark and Jeff,
I remember my summer childhood visits to Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's house. Uncle Walt and Uncle John would come home from the shop at noon for lunch. I looked forward to coming over to your house to visit and play. Your dad was very kind to me and I always felt so welcome at Grandma's and at your house. Your dad and mom brought you to our home for visits often. We always had great times as a family. Uncle Walt gave a lot of care and love for you. He is fondly remembered.
From Cousin,
Kathy Jenkins

Mr. Fisher was a wonderful man. My Father Leron Waldren Sr. worked for him for 32 years. I was little when I first met him and I remember him letting me sit in the limo in the shop. And seeing his big sewing machines. Because of hanging around sometimes at Reliable Upholstery and seeing how he sewed I wanted to learn how to sew. Thank You Walt. He left me with wonderful memories and I will never forget him. He will be sadly missed. I am sorry for your loss. Sending prayers and love....Kelly

Walt was a terrific father to one of my best friends. I've met a lot of the family over the past 30 years, and see that Walt's great morals and values have passed to the family. Walt was a caring and kind man. He will be missed.
