Walter William Fisher who was born in
Ohio Zanesville on
May 27, 1918 and passed away on
August 30, 2008. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.
Mr Fisher was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Iva Mae Fouts Fisher and Orville Fisher.
He attended Zanesville High School and served in the Armed forces in WWII.
Walt served with the Flying Tigers in the Chinese theater and is a lifelong member of the American Legion in Gratiot.
Mr. Fisher was the owner of Reliable Upholstering on South 6th Street, Newark, a family business established in 1905 by his father He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
His first wife, Frances Paynter Fisher, died on October 23, 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Browning Fisher; four daughters and three sons-in-law; Billie Fisher of Portland, Oregon, Martha and Brian Bolton of Sacramento, Ca, Lori and Kirk Colopy of Pataskala, Jenny and Nick Chesrown of Granville; four sons and four daughters-in-law, Mark and Ginger Fisher of Pensacola, Fl, Jeff and Pam Fisher of Newark, Bart and Karen Browning of Worthington, John and Kim Browning of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; Jason and Jeremy Bolton, Stefan and Camille Orehovec, Andrew and Adam Fisher, Josh Ice, Hayden, Jordan, Emma, Ellie, Austin Browning, Nick, Allison, Alex and Mackenzie Chesrown, Dylan and Heather Colopy; and 4 great grandchildren, Juliana, Jackson, Sam and Jeremiah Bolton; 3 sisters, Sara Winn of Philo, Ann Zimmerman of Columbus and Ruth Hutchinson of Corona, Ca. Mr Fisher was preceded in death by a brother, John Fisher
